What would I do if I were the Prime Minister of India

Being the leader of any country is the biggest responsibility on the shoulders and to uphold the expectation of the largest democracy in the world, that India is, would probably be the utmost honour that one can be showered upon. The most important aspect of being a Prime Minister is not the power that he posses but the duty that one has to serve. It is one of the most prestigious positions in a country. If I were to become the Prime Minister of India I would like to make few reforms that has been in the limelight for quite some time. Internal Issues faced by India India is world's fastest growing population and it is about to be the most populous state setting back that of China by 2022. It faces various internal problems like social, economic and security which has been dealt with timelessly. The factors that needs quick reforms are: Social Issues:  Every developing courty is not devoid if social factors such as poverty, population explosion, juvenile d

POSITION OF WOMEN IN CONTEMPORARY INDIA

“A women is like a tea-bag---you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot  water.” - Eleanor Roosevelt. Introduction : There was a time when Indian women were known to be just household workers and that was treated to be their only field of work. Gradually since the time of independence Indian women started to crop out of their house bounds and started to take active part in the struggle for Indian independence. Some notable names are found in the Indian Struggle for Independence. Some of the memorable works of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay also reflects that Indian Women were mostly rooting for liberalization of thought and culture during the British Raj. The likes of Rabindranath Tagore also had contributed towards the upliftment of women in Indian Society through their works of literature. Presence of female writers like Sarojini Naidu, Kamala Das were felt during the fight for independence. The position of Indian women since the Vedic age to Modern age h

Padmaavat Full Movie Review

I am highly excited to be able to review this movie. The movie for which we have been waiting for months, hit the theatres on 25th of January. Ever since the announcement of the movie the country has seen many people vehemently protesting and making a scene out of it. Today I went to watch the movie. As expected the movie theatres are housefull. And why shouldn't it be the moviegoers have been waiting for this for quite a long time now and thus the eagerness grew more and more as the release date closed in. How was the movie? Well, to explain this I have divided this post into small segments for better understanding of the movie. Some segments of the movie was truly mesmerising but some were not really as per expectations. Visual Treat:   It is well known to all of us that any Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie are known for it costumes and set design and this movie is not any less to that. From the moment we are introduced to our lead characters till the end one

Why we believe that the Hufflepuff is the Worst House-Explained

I am a Proud Gryffindor but very recently my brother got sorted in the Hufflepuff and was bummed out about that. So I went down in search for some facts about why the Hufflepuffs are considered to be the worst house...guess what I found. In the whole series hardly there is a mention about the Hufflepuffs being timid, foolish or naive, other than Draco and his mates insulting the House members. Rather there are instances of Hufflepuff being there for their friends like Cedric Diggory, Nymphadora Tonks and many more. But there is one person than other Draco who is the reason behind us believing that Hufflepuff is the worst house and it is none other than- RUBEUS HAGRID . Yes and I am not accusing our ol' friend but I have facts proving this theory. He is now trapped in his own lies.  My theory is that Hagrid's hatred for one person lead to him insulting the whole House but deep down inside he didn't hate the House itself. Everytime he heard Hufflepuff

Padmaavat: The History shall know

What happened in history after the release of the poem Padmaavat in the year 1540 is unknown to me but I am very sure that the movie Padmaavat releasing in the 21st Century is going down in books of history for certain. I have not yet seen the movie and thus wouldn't be able to comment about the onscreen drama but boy oh boy!! This movie is creating such a huge drama in few states. It is already known fact to the whole of the country by now,  if not,  then they must be living under a rock. What have we not seen by now- multiplex burning, archeological sites being closed to tourists, people committing suicides and what not. This is not just making any difference but rather is putting before the world a picture of disgust and hatred in the country. Just because one wants to protect their so called "rights" one cannot disregard the fact that India is not the only country present in this world. But there are 190 approx other countries who are able to see this unne

Should FLASHPOINT Change the DCEU?

It is miserable to see how the DCEU have failed our expectations. Not only that but the big story that is running in the news is that the flashpoint would change the DCEU. But Should Flashpoint change DCEU? Here we are going to analyse what would it mean if the Flashpoint really changes the dynamics of DCEU. The DCEU is just four movies old and we are being thrown into the alternate timeline. Hardly any of the characters have been introduced nor have they been given proper storyline. We have known only four characters after Justice League i.e. Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Batman. I would not count Cyborg as he was hardly even shown in the movie. Then what would happen to these only four characters that we were introduced to and got familiar with. Lets take a look. MAN OF STEEL: (Superman)  We all agree that the Man of Steel is not the best onscreen depiction of Superman since it was created. The character who is known for being the symbol of 'Hope

THEORY DEBUNKED: You Need to ASK to be in Gryffindor?

Image
I have been watching the Harry Potter theories for about three months now. But the most interesting theory that hit me was The Only Way to be Sorted into Gryffindor is to Ask. Most interestingly this theory has been proven to be right by many fans. Well  I am a Gryffindor after being very much SORTED INTO the House by the Sorting Hat in Pottermore from J. K. Rowling  and not ASK for it.  T his theory is undermining our House.     So today I am going to DEBUNK this theory. The following post contains some excerpt from the Harry Potter Books so if you have not read the books there might be SPOILERS AHEAD.  The Sorting Hat: Once you are sorted into the houses you belong to that particular house. And you always have to be sorted into the Houses by a magical sorting hat who when placed on your head is able to analyze your true potential and it sorts you in that particular house which your qualities closely relates to. But the real question that comes to mind is whether

"Padmaavat": The Everlasting Controversy

On 19th of January the Apex Court rejected the plea seeking urgent hearing on a fresh PIL that sought cancellation of Censor Board’s certificate granted to controversial Bollywood movie  ‘ Padmaavat ’ . The Bench also trashed the contention that the screening of the movie may cause serious threat to life, property and law and order. The Bench refusing the fresh plea of the petitioner stated that “Maintaining law and order is not our job. That is the job of the state. Prayer rejected,". After the Supreme Court's decision to release Padmaavat in theatres across India, the movie has again caught the eyes. The Supreme Court’s stay on the notifications passed by some States prohibiting the exhibition of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ' Padmaavat ' on Thursday was cause for tension in Rajasthan, with the Rajput groups threatening they would not allow its screening. The State government also indicated that it may appeal against the apex court’s ruling. The

Why should I study Law?

The moment we pass the higher secondary examination the first thing that comes to our mind is what to pursue now? If you are worried about this thought then you are going through a completely normal phase of life. Most of the world famous personalities even had this feeling once in their lifetime. But I can give you one suggestion that is to pursue Law as your field of study but you may ask Why Law? This post is going to clear that doubt. Why Should I Study Law? Before we begin we must know first that Law is one of the world's oldest fields of study, professions, human endeavour. It is one of the largest traditional profession. LAW has a unique selling proposition, says Prof. S. Shantha Kumar, Director of ITM Law School, ITM University. “Only Law graduates can adorn the offices in all the three organs of the Government; namely the Legislature, Executive and the Judiciary. Other graduates may occupy the high offices of Legislature and Executive, but not

Where's my Tiffin?

Everyday my mother makes the tiffin and packs it for me to take to work. Today I got late as usual and in a hurry I 😶took the tiffin box and put it in my bag. I got into my daily routine of going to chamber then going to court. When the first half ended, after completing the work I was chatting with my senior colleagues when it occurred to me that we have a lot of work in the second half so I should have my tiffin and with a lot of expectations that today I might be given this or probably that, I took out and opened my tiffin box. 🗃 Just in few seconds of time thousand of questions started popping in my head and surprised as I was I thought “What?! Where IS my tiffin??" Then it appeared to me that I have actually took the empty tiffin box in a hurry before it could have been filled by my mother. 😂🤣

A Sunny Day: A Short Story

" Today is quite a sunny day ." shockingly noticed Mohan as this was still the midst of January and the weather generally is a bit foggy in and around parts of Kolkata during the morning. Mohan watched over the head of his colleague as well as his childhood friend, Deepak, while both sipping a cup of coffee during their office break through the window just behind Deepak's cubicle. " Do you notice that it seems to be sunny outside than usual? " Mohan inquired. Deepak turned around while setting his specs properly and was mesmerized to see how bright the outside was. He was just about to say to go outside and take a stroll in the sun to Mohan, when Pooja entered the office after having her lunch and she surpringly asked "What are you guys staring at? ". Mohan very excitingly stated while pointing at the window "Don't you see what bright sunny day is toda-?!" "Yeah, I was thinking of taking a stroll in the sun with Mohan would
